Shirt Via Winners, Gap Jeans, Shelly’s London Shoes, Ray-Ban Sunnies
I love a good over-sized t-shirt and this one is suuuuper comfy. I randomly purchased it when I was at Winners a couple weeks back, and I had no idea it would be such a hit! I get a lot of comments and commentary so I’m glad I didn’t pass on it; just validates your purchase ya know? Anyways, this is like a very regular everyday uniform that you would catch me in. I really like to be comfortable and if you follow my blog you def know that about me!
Love me an LBD. This one I don’t know why but I hardly have worn it since I bought it three years ago. I’ve mentioned before I have trouble wearing dresses. I always feel over done and I really don’t know why. I wore dresses as a child a lot. This dress is really cute and I can’t believe Joe Fresh produced it. It’s hard to get all the details of a black dress on camera, it is silk, with two slits on the side up to the knee area. It cinches at the waist which is flattering and gives you some shape or you’d look like a sack. The neck detail is also really cool, I wish I had gotten a closer photo for you. This dress is super effortless chic and perfectly light and breezy on a hot summer’s day like this day in particular. I just threw on some loafers, black sunnies and a black backpack (not pictured as it was stuffed with Value Village finds).
Value Village top, Levi’s shorts, H&M shoes, Value Village bag, Marc Jacobs sunglasses
This whole outfit is very “thrifty”. Either from value Village or on heavy sale, or found a discount store. I love a good deal! I like to invest in key pieces that will last me forever but when it comes to “trends” finding them at a deal is important. I’ve been really into this gingham trend lately and found this top at VV boutique and I was so surprised to find this piece there. It’s definitely an at home made piece, no tags or branding which made me want to buy it even more. I’m really into the floral detailing, it reminds me of something you would find on the Revolve website. Through blogging lately I’ve noticed how much of my wardrobe is either from VV or thrifted of which I love. I think all together this entire outfit cost less than $50! Win.
Patrons of Peace Dress, Catherine Malandrino Mules all via Winners
Just so happens these are the same shoes and same brand of dress from a recent post. I have found this brand Patrons of Peace at Winners lately and I fell in love. I searched it and it’s a wholesale brand which makes me sad because I can’t purchase off their website but gives me hope I will find somewhere that sells the brand. It’s super bohemian, yet whimsical and girly. Their dresses fit well because they understand a woman’s body, and are just super comfortable.
On this particular night I was headed to the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers show at the ACC so I wanted to be comfortable getting up and down from sitting and dancing. The ACC is freezing so the length worked in my favour. The billowy nature of the dress also helped in my favour after we ate everything at Figo, a delicious Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown.
Figo is a hidden gem. Their patio is like an escape with the beautiful decor of white, gold and green; and all the palm leaves surrounding you. Inside the decor is so crisp and clean the look of the restaurant alone made me want to eat there. Now the food. We had this unreal fresh house ricotta with truffle honey and black pepper. If you appreciate cheese and really good food and drinks this is a great date spot for a drink and a delicious appetizer. If you’re feeling hungry then defintely dive into a pasta or pizza. We had the gnocchi with fresh basil and tomatoes and also shared the wild boar ragu. A tad loud with the fire station next to it but when you’re not hearing the sound of sirens it’s a great spot if you’re heading to a show or movie in the area.
