Currently Craving: Summer 2017 Accessories

Accessories are where I have most of my fun. As you can tell from the name I wear loads of black and that’s not wrong. I try to mix it up here and there but the accessories departments is  where I shine, sparkle, fringe-out, fluff (all of the above). I really like to keep it interesting as much as I can, and what is true to my style. My all black attire usually works as my blank canvas and from there the options are endless to add on all the pizazz. If you want to attempt adding more colour or more fashion-forward, interesting statement pieces start with your accessories; they’re basically a gateway drug!

Blending In | Palm Culottes

Topshop Crop Top, H&M “Martinique” Culottes, Birkentsock ‘Arizona’ Sandals

This banana palm leaf design is my all time favourite print. The Martinique was created for the Beverly Hills Hotel and has since become sought after worldwide. H&M’s Conscious Collection has designed a few fun items with the print as the design’s popularity seems to have exploded this year. I also can’t wait for my own place again where I can have an accent wall with this print. One of my favourite style bloggers, We Wore What, has also taken note of the design and has done (see here) what I intend to do one day!

These pants are super fun and light for summer and an obvious statement piece. I initially bought them to wear on the Toronto island or take on vacations but they’ve easily worked their way into my wardrobe more often. Originally I thought they would be a one-off wear here and there because of their “flashy” factor but worn with staple basics like this Topshop crop top (I own in other colours) and duh the perfect summer slides (Birkenstocks exude comfort) you’re good to incorporate fun prints in all the time! #fearlessfashion
