My birthday is looming, yes I say looming because the years are flying by! I have a grey hair that won’t quit and some wrinkles of which I never believed would appear, but THEY DO/DID! Anyways, my birthday also reminds me that I get to spoil myself. Now that I’m an adult, I am allowed to spend my money the way I please. I think self love is super important so why not? I want to start a new tradition for myself of buying a piece of jewellery for myself each birthday. Jewellery is something I can collect and look at to remind me of the place I was in when I bought it, so I think this will be a special thing I do for myself. Agree?

There is nothing more comfortable (and stylish) to me than a good sneaker. I love that sneakers are a huge fashion trend that’s sticking around. I can remember when wearing sneakers with a dress or skirt was a MEGA fashion no no, but now it’s the s@#% (as long as it’s paired well of course). Every brand I click on these days while online “window shopping” has a ‘walking’, ‘lifestyle’, or ‘casual’ section because they know they have to cater to the stylish street wearability that is the sneaker trend. On my days off I like to kick it (get it) in sneakers most of the time because my feet are usually exhausted (server life). I can’t wait to get my feet into some of the sneakers I’ve been eyeing above this season. I love that brands are bringing back their classic styles with a twist. The platform trend has to be my favourite, mostly because I wear heels due to that fact that I didn’t win the lottery in terms of height, so the heeled sneaker has been quite a blessing. I think first on my list are the platform Keds canvas platform and the Reebok Classics. I’m really into those two styles at the moment and can see myself getting a lot of wear out of them.

How do you feel about sneakers and the fashion statement they’re making?

Valentines For Her/Yourself: Gift Guide and a Little Relationship Advice

Slide1

These might just be a few things that I want, but I have a feeling many women would enjoy a variation of these things this Valentines. I don’t “celebrate” Valentines normally but sometimes it can be a nice excuse for some romance. It’s nice to plan a dinner date and spend the day/night together to enjoy each other’s company. My best advice to any couple is to not have expectations, or at least unrealistic expectations of your partner. If you know they’ll never fulfill your expectations, have a look at your expectations; are they silly or are they important to you? Yes, it’s hard to break up and yes it’s hard to “be alone”, but if you’re with someone because you’re afraid of those things you’ll never actually be happy, or fulfilled and that is definitely NOT what life is about. Remember the things above are just material and can put a bandaid over a wound, but if you’re not happy with your relationship don’t stay together “just because”. Make sure this Valentines Day that your realistic expectations are being met.

It’s officially Spring, although it’s still cold and calling for snow Sunday, but       WELCOME TO CANADA FOLKS! The weather better start to warm up because I have a birthday looming and if it isn’t nice then it’s not worth celebrating! That’s just the bratty me talking but my birthday has always been hot (if you read my blog you know the story and if you don’t well sorry I hate repeating myself) so when it’s not it just kinda stinks; you can’t dress cute or eat birthday ice cream if it’s not H-A-W-T out, am I right?

Any who, in no way is this a birthday list of possible gifts. We all know that went out the window the day I turned..16 I think. It was like “oh yeah, you’re sweet alright sweet… and TOO OLD FOR GIFTS!” So let’s take this above list as inspiration of what I may be gifting myself this year. After all, we come into this world alone and we go out alone, and I will live alone in a dumpster with my maxed out credit card in the meantime.

Check out what I craved last time here!
