Value Village dress, Pedro Miralles mules
There are no words for how obsessed I am with this dress and I can not believe I found it at VV boutique. It’s BCBG so it was “pricey” for Value Village which is why I think it was still there. I love the white gothic lace feel. It still gives me that witchy vibe without feeling demonic, if you get what I mean. This dress is megaaaa hot so it’s not exactly a “Summer” dress so it’ll be great for late summer early fall. I see this dress working best for a garden party, baby shower, dinner party (if you’re careful) unfortunately not a wedding.
My Man’s Shirt, Forever 21 Skirt, H&M Necklace, Pedro Miralles Shoes
This outfit I would say is truly an expression of my style. I love texture, detail, vintage and prints. And when they blend so well together it feels real good. Anything with fringe, fur, fuzz and I am making the purchase, as long as it fits; there’s nothing like purchasing something with so much detail it wears you.
This is probably something I would wear to a festival, out to a show or casual dinner/drinks. I think expressing yourself through your clothing is really important. Not to be afraid and to explore and experiment will help you find who you are. Decorate yourself. It’s your life and your body!
Aritzia ‘Nori’ Dress by Wilfred Free, Joe Fresh ‘Waxed Denim’ Jeans, Pedro Miralles Mules, Roots Scarf (Similar), H&M Hat, Ray-Ban Sunnies
I have always admired Aritzia’s approach to merchandising. Their window displays always have a creative and fresh backdrop to their uncomplicated and simply-styled outfits. They recently have been adding a large, light scarf draped over one shoulder on a mannequin here and there as well as I’ve seen it carry over onto the merchandisers themselves. Though it’s not the most functional way of wearing a scarf, it adds a quirky and unique vibe to the outfit that quite admire.
And speaking of scarves, I’m pretty much a hoarder when it comes to them. I own only a million in all sizes, colours and prints. I tie them on bags as well as my neck. I’ve been collecting since forever, starting with vintage silk scarves. They may not be everyone’s favourite accessory, and I wouldn’t go as far as saying they’re my favourite (it’s probably shoes), but I would have to say I am wearing one about 90% of the time in some way, shape or form.
Ray-Ban Sunnies, Aritzia Dress (Fall version), Joe Fresh Jeans (DIY cut ankles), Pedro Miralles Mules, Longchamp Bag, Vintage Scarf
I think it’s time for us to reconsider the extended use of our closets and how to maximize the amount of clothing we have. I could very much be talking about myself but let’s be realistic I’m not the only girl on the planet with a shopping problem. Dresses over jeans aren’t exactly ideal in anyone’s fashion lingo, but give it a try! Play with shades, and length. The more boho and loose the more it will work.
