Edible Bird’s Nests

Holiday themed treats are my favourite. Any excuse for my inner Martha Stewart to come out and play and entice a sweet tooth – I’m in.
This year I made my own variation of what my best friend’s mom used to make at all of their family gatherings I would go to when we were kids. Brits always have the best treats: trifle, puddings, cakes and custard filled anything. These little nest-like treats were my favourite and always bring back sweet memories with one of my long time girlfriends.
1) Over a double-boiler, mix your semi-sweet chocolate and butterscotch chips until fully melted, then stir and melt in a large teaspoon of peanut butter.
2) Let the chocolate mixture cool for a few minutes then pour over plain corn flakes.
3) Gently stir in chocolate mixture slowly in small batches until fully incorporated and covered.
4) Roughly place mix into muffin cups while strategically placing it up the sides so they harden into a nest shape. Add Cadbury Mini Eggs onto the warm melted chocolate and set in the fridge until you’re ready to snack.
Yum, and they smell amazing!
