I love having fun with nail designs. They are the one accessory, yes I consider them an accessory, that I like to go a little crazy with sometimes. I chose to do the colour blue to resemble water, but am inspired to do it again in red around Halloween to be ‘gory’ and resemble blood.
What you’ll need: Polish, Top Coat and Toothpicks.
I chose Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in “Pacific Blue“.
My top coat is Seche Vite and it is the greatest top coat in the world! Thanks to my friend and beauty blogger (here) for introducing me to it.
File nails and trim cuticles before you apply your nail colour for a polished look.
Dip the toothpick into the polish so it bubbles on the end.
Apply it to your bare nail and drag it down to the base. Remember to reload the toothpick each time you make a new line.
Once you’ve finished your lines, fill in the base of the nail for a pooling effect. Repeat on the other hand, let dry and then add topcoat.
